Position

Heyzap is looking for a publisher sales genius to build awesome partnerships with major websites and media companies. You will be primarily in charge of identifying, initiating and building long-lasting relationships with some of the top online website publishers. You will play a pivotal role in marketing the Heyzap platform, growing our distribution network, and increasing our user base.

Heyzap works with Ning, Hi5, theChive, and a growing network of thousands of websites serving millions of gameplays per month. Heyzap's platform powers the games sections for major websites which use games to increase user retention, acquisition rates, grow site traffic and monetize visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with major media companies and online content providers. Examples of the type of companies you could deal with include CBS, News Corp., Cnet, gaming websites, and other entertainment sites.
  • Negotiate deals and contracts with potential website partners
  • Serve as the point of contact between the Heyzap team and our website publishers
  • Manage the publisher sales pipeline
  • Evangelize the Heyzap platform in marketing efforts directed toward publishers
  • Head up Heyzap’s presence at media conferences and industry events
  • Help manage the integration of Heyzap's products onto partner sites

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with excellent academic performance
  • Existing contacts and relationships in major media or online websites
  • Proven ability to pursue and close media deals
  • Understanding of web technologies, APIs, iframes etc
  • Ability to lead sales pipeline development
  • Huge passion for the gaming industry
  • Understanding of the web and web trends
  • Professional and creative email etiquette and technique
  • Team player attitude and a huge sense of fun
  • Can multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of legal contracts (NDAs, Letters of Intent, etc)
  • Positive, problem solving attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great Google/Office/Keynote/powerpoint skills
